Job summary

Summit Physician Specialists is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the vascular surgery team in Ogden, Utah. You will work with five vascular surgeons providing arterial and venous procedures. The position offers a salary of $120,000+ and a four-day work week on average with 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Current APRN or PA license in Utah.
• National board certification as NP or PA.
• DEA registration eligibility.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience in vascular or surgical subspecialties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient and outpatient care.
• First assist in OR for open and endovascular surgery.
• Conduct histories and physicals.
• Manage pre- and post-procedure orders.
• Educate patients and arrange follow-up.
• Provide independent clinic and hospital-based consultations.
• Coordinate with referring physicians and services.

Job description

Summit Physician Specialists is Utah’s largest group of Diagnostic Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons. We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in Vascular Surgery in Ogden, Utah. In addition to $120,000+ salary, this position offers generous call pay and benefits.

The successful applicant will join five Vascular Surgeons in our practice providing the full spectrum of arterial and vein procedures. Please note, this position will be located in Ogden, UT and related area.

Required License/Certifications:

• Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) OR Physician Assistant (PA)
• National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Eligible for State Controlled License II through V
• Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
• Applicable experience as defined by position
• Ability to work rotating shifts including holidays, weekends, and call required
• Experience in Vascular or surgical subspecialties highly preferred

Work Location:

McKay-Dee Hospital & Vascular and Vein Clinic

Schedule:

• 10 hour shifts - average 4 day work week
• On call nights and weekends -1 in 4 weekend call
