Physician Assistant- Vascular Surgery

Join a collaborative vascular care team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in both outpatient and hospital settings. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, building strong patient relationships, and working alongside physicians in a dynamic vascular practice.

What You’ll Do

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will work closely with our vascular surgeons to deliver comprehensive care across clinic, hospital, and procedural settings.

Patient Care Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patients in clinic and through telehealth visits
  • Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Perform physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic testing
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable regulations and practice protocols
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and recovery plans
  • Perform in-office vein procedures and wound care treatments
  • Provide post-operative care and follow-up management
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
  • Support patient care in outpatient OBL and ASC as needed

Hospital & Surgical Support
  • Conduct hospital rounds and inpatient consultations
  • Assist with surgical procedures as needed
  • Complete surgical consents and support perioperative patient management
Call & Triage Responsibilities
  • Provide phone triage support during office hours
  • Participate in a rotating weekend call schedule (approximately 1:4)
  • First-call coverage:
    • Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Rotating weekends: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • No overnight call requirements
  • No holiday call requirements

This is a full-time position consisting of five days per week in the clinic, with additional support provided at local hospitals.

Clinic responsibilities include:

  • Documentation

  • Post-operative follow-up appointments

Hospital responsibilities include:

  • Rounding
  • Consultations
  • Surgical assistance
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Ability to effectively work with diverse patient populations
  • Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuing education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior vascular surgery, vascular medicine, or vein clinic experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with discharge planning and care transitions
  • Familiarity with EPIC, MEDITECH, and/or eClinicalWorks (eCW)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid credentialing
  • No sanctions or exclusions from federal healthcare programs
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred or willing to obtain)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current NP certification through ANCC or AANPCB
  • Active DEA registration
  • Eligible for Medicare and Medicaid credentialing
  • No sanctions or exclusions from federal healthcare programs
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred or willing to obtain)
