Job summary

The Surgical Clinic (TSC) is a premier Middle Tennessee vascular surgery practice providing non-invasive vascular ultrasound services across 11 clinic locations. The Vascular Sonographer Float will rotate between sites, performing arterial, venous, carotid, and abdominal studies while ensuring quality and timely communication of results.

This role requires registry-eligible status within 12 months, BLS, and a formal vascular technology training program, with the ability to adapt to varying

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS certification required
• Travel and work at different sites on short notice
• Formal 2–4 year vascular technology training program required
• Registry-eligible within 12 months
• Vascular-specific experience preferred
• Active vascular testing credential required (RVT or RVS) or credentialing within six months of employment

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of non-invasive vascular ultrasound exams (arterial, venous, carotid, abdominal).
• Reviews and evaluates images for diagnostic quality and communicates findings to physicians.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and clean, organized work areas.
• Documents exam information accurately in the billing system with correct CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Supports IAC accreditation through QA, logs, and reports.
• Uses EMR to document findings and retrieve patient history.
• Provides ultrasound coverage across multiple clinic locations as assigned.
• Interacts with physicians and staff to ensure efficient patient care.
• Takes part in training staff and students in lab protocols and exam techniques.
