Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to perform a variety of high-quality vascular ultrasound imaging. This onsite, part-time role (24 hours) follows a day shift schedule Monday through Friday.

Credentialed candidates with ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS or ARRT RVS, BLS, and state licensure requirements are preferred. Career ladder opportunities exist with advancement paths within the vascular imaging program.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
• Experience: no experience required for Entry level.
• Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS); Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assess blood vessels and related conditions.
• Coordinate with patients and healthcare professionals to provide accurate and diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient care and safety during the imaging process.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment per department standards.
