Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis seeks a Vascular Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging of blood vessels.

This onsite, part-time role supports the day shift and emphasizes patient care, accurate image acquisition, and collaboration with physicians to deliver excellent care. Ideal candidates include graduates of an approved Sonography program with clinical hours or those trained on the job by a Preceptor registered in Cardiac ultrasound.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Sonography with required clinical hours or training by a Preceptor registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
• Certification: ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS or ARRT RVS; registry within 6 months if eligible; BLS required.
• State licensure may be required depending on the practice location.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging of blood vessels.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize image quality for accurate interpretation.
• Provide compassionate patient care and comfort during exams.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure appropriate, timely imaging.
