Job summary

Methodist Hospital Texsan, part of Methodist Healthcare System, seeks a Vascular Technologist to perform arterial/venous Doppler and vascular imaging under physician orders. The role requires ARDMS RVT or RVS certification, plus relevant training in ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or vascular technology, with preferred 2 years in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of training program in ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or vascular technology.
• Associates degree or higher.
• Preferred: two years vascular technologist experience.
• Must have ARDMS certification RVT or RVS.

Responsibilities

• Maintains skills and understanding of innovation in techniques and equipment in medical sonography.
• Acquires signed physician orders with appropriate indicator for all exams; prioritizes STAT orders as needed.
• Follows safety policies and universal precautions; maintains cleanliness and sterile technique.
• Maintains all patient reports and ensures proper charges and PAC system usage.
• Orders supplies and participates in monthly supply checks and reporting.
