Job summary

Medical Essential Diagnostics is seeking an experienced vascular ultrasound technologist to perform adult ultrasound studies and contribute to accurate clinical assessments. The role requires teamwork with providers and clinic staff to maintain smooth operations.

You will document measurements in the EMR using OnePacs, ensure patient education, and uphold HIPAA standards while delivering compassionate care in a dynamic five-day-a-week schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience.
• RVT, ARRT, and ARDMS/RDMS certifications required.
• Ability to stay calm under stress and exercise good judgment.
• Analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Work independently and as part of a care team.
• Comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct adult ultrasound scans on various patients
• Collaborate and communicate with the provider regarding clinical assessments and the clinic staff to ensure smooth flow within clinic operations.
• Perform examinations, recognizing the significance of all structures that are visualized, differentiating artifacts from appropriate images, while recognizing the limitations of equipment and utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Responsible for uploading and documenting measurements/reports through Onepacs systems and our EMR system.
• Educate patients and families of safe and appropriate testing; thoroughly explaining procedures, answering questions and calming concerns.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in Vascular Ultrasounds
• RVT Certification, ARRT Certification, ARDMS/RDMS Certification
• Ability to maintain composure under stress, using tactical and good judgment.
• Demonstrate analytical decision-making skills; ability to quickly assess and resolve technical and patient care problems.
• Ability to work both independently and as a care team member.
• Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements.
