Qualifications

• Minimum education: Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• NY State RN License is required.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required.
• Critical Care experience required.
• IV certification preferred.
• Vascular/surgical experience highly preferred.
• EMR experience is a strong plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and monitors changes in physical and psycho/social needs using the nursing process.
• Educates and counsels patient and caregiver with follow-up provisions.
• Prepares patient for and assists in complex vascular procedures and treatments.
• Administers and documents all medications including IV therapy.
• Patient charting is entered into the EMR accurately and timely.
• Provides clinical direction to the support staff (LPNs, Medical Assistants).
• Responds to emergencies as needed; checks code cart weekly and stocks supplies.
