Job summary

Memorial Health in Decatur, IL seeks a Radiology Technologist Coordinator to work closely with radiologists and supervisors to perform procedures and coordinate patient care. You will assist with patient consultation and follow-up care, and help navigate the care pathway for imaging and physician consultation.

The role is full-time, on-site, day shift with weekends on a rotating basis. Requires AMA-approved Radiologic Technology education, ARRT registration, Illinois license, CPR certification,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of technical factors utilizing kVp, and mAs per anatomical exposure.
• Knowledge of patient positioning techniques required to image human anatomy.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to contrast media and medication.
• Knowledge of radiation protection and safety.
• Skill in speaking with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
• Ability to utilize hospital computer systems to manage and navigate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures and coordinate patient care under the direction of the radiologist.
• Assist radiologist with patient consultation and follow-up care.
• Update radiology tracking mechanisms and navigate patients through the care process for imaging and physician consultation.
