Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute in Missouri seeks an RN to provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for cardiovascular patients, and educate families on post-treatment management. A Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree is required; RN licensure must be current.

Bachelor's degree preferred. Certification in BLS/ACLS is a plus. No more than two years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RN licensure is necessary.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, arterial line monitoring, and pacer wires preferred.
• No prior experience required; less than two years preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for cardiovascular cases.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment management and medications.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
• Communicate across the care continuum and adapt to a high-acuity environment.
