Job summary

Mercy is seeking a perioperative registered nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process across surgical specialties. You will maintain clinical accountability and work with the care team to coordinate perioperative services.

Active MO RN licensure is required, with a minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience. BLS/ACLS must be obtained within the first year of employment.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of practice (Missouri).
• BLS/ACLS certification within first year.
• CNOR and/or RN-FA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide perioperative patient care.
• Maintains accountability for care provided by direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and ensures patient rights and confidentiality.

Position Details:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure: Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• Certifications: BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Other: Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.
• Preferred: CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
