Job summary

Summa Health Medical Group is seeking an inpatient Stroke Neurologist to join our Neuroscience Institute in Akron, Ohio. The position offers inpatient coverage on a flexible 7-on/7-off block schedule for 23 weeks per year, with an opportunity for Stroke Directorship for qualified candidates.

You will work in a highly integrated, multidisciplinary team alongside Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care, Endovascular, and Critical Care Trauma programs to ensure seamless care from emergency intervention

Qualifications

• Board certification and/or eligibility in Neurology.
• Board certification and/or eligibility in Vascular Neurology.
• A current unrestricted license or the ability to obtain a license to practice medicine in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient stroke neurology coverage as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care, Endovascular and Critical Care Trauma programs to coordinate care from emergency intervention through recovery.
• Participate in clinical research, quality initiatives, and program development.

The position offers inpatient coverage on a flexible 7-on/7-off block schedule for 23 weeks per year, which promotes both work-life balance and continuity of care.
