GENERAL OVERVIEW

Performs and reports all required vascular ultrasound and clinical evaluations at a technical level as ordered by Physician.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts individualized patient assessment in accordance with ordered vascular procedure. Performs vascular testing utilizing testing/ultrasound equipment. Provides patient education regarding testing procedures and vascular disease process. (65%)
  • Provides a preliminary interpretation of vascular testing completed. Determines and completes proper notification of the test result to the patient's physician and/or vascular physician. Maintains records in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. (25%)
  • Participates in educational activities for patients and in-services for both external/internal personnel and the community. Attends meetings as required. (5%)
  • Performs maintenance, tests accuracy/safety, and reports malfunctions of the vascular lab equipment. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • RVT certification or eligible (certification must be achieved within 12 months from date of hire)
  • CPR – American Heart Association

  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
