Weekly Hours: 40.00

Starting Rate: $31.00 - $49.50

Pay Info: $20,000 or $30,000 sign-on bonus options with work commitment

Job Summary: Provides high-quality images, including specialized procedures, through operation of specialized equipment to ensure optimal clarity for diagnosis and minimal discomfort and radiation exposure to patients. Understands operation of interventional equipment, diagnostic radiographic principles, film/imaging processing, quality control, and radiation protection. Works to minimize patient recovery risks, implements life support measures as necessary, and adheres to safety and infection control policies. Develops understanding of patients' physical and emotional status, practicing sensitivity and confidentiality. Works well with all age groups.

Possesses extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and medical terminology. Familiar with operative terms and pharmacology. Knowledge of billing and coding procedures. Capable of adapting and facilitating change. Performs independently, exercising professional judgment in highly specialized procedures.

Requires flexible schedule and ability to take after-hours call. Responsible for scheduling and performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Participates in educational processes for Radiologic Technology students.

Qualifications: Completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school. Minimum of one year experience preferred. Registration through ARRT required. North Dakota licensure required if working in ND. Vascular Interventional Technology (VI) certification encouraged within 24 months if working in SD. Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CI) certification encouraged within 24 months if performing responsibilities in the Cardiac Cath Lab. BLS certification required within six weeks of employment.
