Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Faculty member to join the Department of Surgery. The role emphasizes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, while advancing independent research and delivering comprehensive patient care across the open and endovascular spectrum.

Appointments may be at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels, with salary negotiations per UC scales.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree.
• Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.
• Candidates must have completed, or be on track to complete, a 0+5 or 5+2 fellowship program in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.
• Candidates must have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Responsibilities

• Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; conducting independent research; and overseeing all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
