Job summary

Primary Vascular Care is seeking a skilled Registered Vascular Technician (RVT or RVS) to join our Detroit-area team. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in vascular sonography and 1–2 years in venous insufficiency, with strong non-invasive ultrasound skills and a dedication to patient-centered diagnostics.

The role emphasizes accurate imaging, patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality vascular assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of vascular sonography experience
• Minimum 1-2 years of venous insufficiency experience
• Certified RVT or RVS through ARDMS or CCI
• Completion of an accredited ultrasound/vascular technology program
• BLS certification required
• Proficient with PACS and EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment per PVC policies and protocols.
• Review patient documentation prior to each exam.
• Evaluate contraindications and patient prep.
• Perform diagnostic sonography exams with venous reflux focus and other vascular pathologies.
• Acquire additional images for comprehensive exams.
• Use proper patient positioning and ergonomic scanning.
• Document exam limitations and relevant findings clearly.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and infection control standards.
• Troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with clinicians and admin for efficient workflow.
• Support IAC and facility quality standards.
• Maintain ongoing education and certifications in sonography.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
