Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin seeks a PhD-level researcher to supervise and independently advance studies for the PI's projects. You will design complex procedures, analyze data, and monitor quality control to ensure data integrity.

You will lead vascular device research, coordinate collaborators, and develop new lab methodologies while guiding staff and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: PhD in a scientific field.
• Preferred Education: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering or related field.
• Preferred Experience: At least 1 year post‑PhD in engineering or scientific field; vascular medical device manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute complex research procedures.
• Develop and perform routine and complex protocols for research programs.
• Oversee design and manufacturing of vascular medical devices.
• Coordinate research study activities; lead and manage projects.
• Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring quality activities.
• Collaborate with principal investigators in determining study design and performing statistical analyses.
• Coordinate regional and national collaborators to facilitate execution of the project.
• Perform and develop routine and complex computational and database methods; may serve as primary statistician.
• Develop new methodologies for lab procedures.
• Maintain supplies; negotiate with vendors; track purchase orders.
• Participate in meetings and evaluate data validity; develop methodologies and lab procedures.
• May oversee laboratory personnel including training and daily work direction.
