Qualifications

• PhD and/or MD degree required.
• Current rank: postdoctoral fellow, research associate, instructor, or assistant professor.
• Strong publications in vascular biology & metabolic disease.
• Experience with cell and molecular biology techniques (FACS, RNA-seq, ChIP-Seq, ATAC-Seq, immunohistochemistry) and animal models.
• Experience with grant applications for extramural funding (NIH, AHA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across departments and seek intra- and extramural funding opportunities.
• Develop and lead a nationally recognized vascular biology research program.
• Design and execute innovative investigations and disseminate findings.
• Direct laboratory-based and animal studies, including protocol development and data analysis.
• Maintain regulatory approvals related to animal care, biosafety, and research conduct.
• Pursue and sustain extramural funding; submit grant applications regularly.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific meetings.
• Mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
• Engage in educational activities, including lectures, rounds, and training.
