Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota (Rochester) is seeking an Ambulatory Procedural Assistant to join the vascular team. You will assist with procedures and therapies under the direction of a Registered Nurse or provider, help prepare patients for examinations, and support safe patient handling.

Responsibilities include preparing debridement trays, dressing wounds, identifying equipment, taking vital signs, documenting care, and cleaning exam rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of patient care experience.
• Internal applicants must attach their three most recent performance appraisals.
• Maintains Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting; computer and keyboard skills preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and therapies under the direction of a Registered Nurse or provider.
• Prepare debridement tray, undress wounds, identify equipment needed during procedures.
• Take vital signs, photo documentation, and re-dressing of wounds.
• Clean exam rooms per environmental services standards; support departmental functions.
• Communicate changes/concerns with team members and maintain competency in equipment setup, usage, and cleaning.
