Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to independently manage arterial lines, central venous access, PICC lines, and related vascular procedures. The role includes patient assessments, line maintenance, and collaboration with physicians to determine the best access for therapy.

Responsibilities include assisting with airway management, performing respiratory procedures, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Technical Training Diploma/Degree in Respiratory Care (CoARC approved)
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred
• 2 years Respiratory Care experience required
• 5 years arterial line/PICC/central line experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Inserts and maintains arterial lines, midlines, PICC lines and other vascular access devices per policy; uses ultrasound for accurate placement.
• Reviews labs and orders to select appropriate access and collaborates with physicians on long-term access needs.
• Performs or assists intubations and manages airway as required.
• Dispenses pharmacological solutions via aerosols and monitors for adverse reactions, following policy.
• Maintains ISTAT and/or blood gas equipment and supports department operations and education.
