Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join our new Vascular Access Team at our Level II Trauma Center. This role offers a chance to shape a specialized program, apply ultrasound-guided techniques, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a demanding setting.

As part of a collaborative team, you will assess, insert, and maintain vascular access devices, educate patients and families, and serve as a resource for staff education.

Qualifications

• Must hold Idaho RN license and be in good standing.
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience; vascular access preferred.
• BLS is mandatory; ACLS preferred.
• VA-BC certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate SAHS Mission, Vision, and Values in all interactions.
• Perform vascular access assessments and select appropriate devices based on patient needs.
• Insert and maintain vascular access devices using aseptic techniques and ultrasound guidance.
• Educate patients and families on device care and infection prevention.
• Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff regarding vascular access best practices.
• Document all procedures and patient education accurately in the electronic health record.
• Monitor for complications and initiate interventions as needed.
• Comply with hospital safety policies and infection control standards.
• Practice within the Idaho State Board of Nursing regulations.
