Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Greenville, NC seeks an experienced RN to provide direct nursing care before, during, and after procedures in a vascular access setting. You will monitor patients, administer medications and IV moderate sedation under physician orders.

You will document care, perform bedside testing, assist physicians, and participate in CQI activities while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a safe, sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree desirable; and Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
• Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required.
• 4 - 6 years’ related experience preferred.
• Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care pre, during and post procedure under the direction of the Facility Manager, Director of Nursing and/or Charge Registered Nurse.
• Maintain patient records and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Administer medications and IV moderate sedation per physician orders per regulations.
• Assist physician during procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Assist in patient workflow and transport as needed.
• Perform point-of-care laboratory testing as directed by physician’s orders.
• Perform IV insertion as per physician orders.
• Assist with facility CQI activities and staff meetings.
