The role performs PIV, Midline, and PICC insertions with clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.

The position supports high-quality patient care, with ultrasound guidance as needed, and requires strong assessment, documentation, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Demonstrated competency in Peripheral IV, Midline, and PICC placement.
• Experience with ultrasound-guided vascular access.

Responsibilities

• Perform Peripheral IV (PIV), Midline, and PICC insertions.
• Assess patients to determine vascular access needs.
• Utilize ultrasound technology when clinically indicated.
• Follow infection prevention, sterile technique, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, medical providers, and leadership.

Job Summary

The Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) provides vascular access services across the Houston/Beaumont market for Advanced Primary Care Practice, an ancillary department of Cantex. This role performs Peripheral IV (PIV), Midline, and PICC insertions while ensuring exceptional patient care, accurate clinical documentation, and full regulatory compliance. The Vascular Access RN serves as the primary vascular access resource for assigned facilities and ensures timely, efficient, and high‑quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated competency in Peripheral IV placement, Midline placement, & PICC placement.
• Experience with ultrasound‑guided vascular access
• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
