Job summary

VTP Holdings, LLC is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant (RN) to place PICCs and ultrasound-guided IVs across hospital, home and facility settings. This role offers 10AM–10PM shifts with weekend/holiday rotation and comprehensive benefits.

You will travel to client sites, provide vascular access support, and train facility staff. Prior USGIV experience is required; PICC certification training is provided for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must hold a registered nurse license and be able to perform ultrasound-guided vascular access
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs) and managing vascular access devices
• Comfort working independently across varied clinical settings and travel to customer facilities

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
• Manage PICCs and other vascular access devices; incl. line removal and declotting
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and CVADs

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

Schedule: 10AM–10PM shifts | Includes weekend and holiday rotation

Job Type: Full-Time or Per Diem (experienced PICC RNs only)

Pay: $50–$70/hr base + Profit Pool + Overtime eligibility

Bonus: Full-Time employees are eligible for up to $10,000 sign‑on/commitment bonus, based on prior vascular access experience

This is a PICC RN position. We provide paid PICC certification training to qualifying RNs with strong, recent USGIV placement experience — no prior PICC experience required to apply.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current, active license
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
• Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• American Heart BLS Certification
• Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and meet scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
• Must possess a smart phone
• Must LOVE vascular access

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
• Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
• Prior vascular access or PICC experience

Who We Are Looking For

We’re seeking RNs with strong, recent USGIV placement experience for full‑time Vascular Access Nurse Consultant roles. USGIV experience is required. PICC certification training is provided for qualifying candidates with consistent, recent USGIV placement history. Experienced PICC nurses are welcome to apply for Per Diem or Full‑Time positions.

As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you’ll work collaboratively with our customers’ clinical teams to resolve venous access issues and support treatment objectives set by the treating physician. Depending on the referral, you may work inside or outside the hospital setting — giving you a unique opportunity to see different treatment protocols and patient challenges across care settings.

If you’re looking for a change from 12‑hour shifts on your feet or rushing between patients with no time for quality care, this role offers a different pace and focus.

What You’ll Do

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs

Schedule

• Full‑time: 36–48 hours/week across 3–4 shifts per week, including weekend and holiday rotation (specific days assigned based on business needs)
  • Currently hiring for a 10AM–10PM schedule
• Per Diem: Minimum of 32 hours/month across 4 shifts, with availability to pick up additional shifts as needed. Per Diem opportunities are available for experienced PICC Nurses only and potential participation in weekend and holiday rotation.
  • Currently hiring for a range of schedules.
• Consultants travel to customer facilities as assigned; scheduling requirements vary by job classification

Hourly Pay Range
