Objective:

Process all necessary VAS requirements accurately, including documentation related to outbound freight loads, and adhere to records retention policies related to transportation documents.

Basic Skills and Physical Demands:

You must be able to read and write, perform basic math skills, communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, and handle physical activities such as walking, pushing/pulling, lifting (up to 70 pounds independently, team lifts up to 170 pounds), twisting, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, standing, and reaching. Ability to operate power industrial equipment, perform basic computer tasks, use phones and office equipment, and work in various climatic conditions is required.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate work across shifts (1st and 2nd) related to VAS requirements and shipment needs.
2. Collaborate with the Shipping office and Supervisor to ensure all orders are billed, manifested, and scheduled with carriers.
3. Work with CSR and shipping teams to arrange carrier pickups and deliveries via fax, email, phone, etc.
4. Reprint pick lists as needed and make adjustments.
5. Lookup backup locations using WMS.
6. Pick, pack, load, and ship orders within the department.
7. Process packing details for various products and orders.
8. Maintain files for all shipping documents (e.g., BOL, manifests).
9. Generate and distribute daily reports as necessary.
10. Create and verify VAS custom documents for domestic and international shipments (e.g., Dangerous Goods, Commercial invoices).
11. Ensure customer requirements for domestic and international orders are met within the VAS department.
12. Provide administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned.
13. Comply with DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures.

• Use all required Personal Protective Equipment.
