Job summary

The Vermont State Colleges System is seeking an assistant coach to support the varsity soccer program under NCAA/NAC guidelines. You will help recruit student athletes, plan practices, scout opponents, and assist in game management.

You will also participate in the administration of athletic programs, supervise student staff, ensure safety, and help maintain facilities. Weekend and evening work is expected; a University Fleet License is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sports administration or related field; master's degree desirable.
• Two to four years of relevant experience in recreation/athletics/coaching or equivalent.
• Weekend and evening work is required.
• University Fleet License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in coaching the varsity soccer program under NCAA/NAC guidelines.
• Recruit student athletes and help plan practice schedules and sessions.
• Scout opponents, prepare for and coach during games.
• Assist in planning administration and development of varsity athletic programs.
• Supervise student workers and interns and oversee facilities and equipment.
• Support game management and safety procedures.
