Job summary

East Lincoln High School is seeking a Swim Varsity Head Coach for the Men’s team with the Winter season starting November 1, 2026. The role reports to the Principal and Athletic Director and carries a coaching stipend based on experience with NCHSAA.

You must be at least 21, hold a HS diploma or GED, and complete NFHS coaching courses. CPR is required for paid coaches, and HR onboarding including drug tests and background checks is mandatory before approval.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Coaching experience preferred.
• NFHS coaching courses required before approval (Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion, Mental Health Awareness).
• CPR certification required for paid coaches.
• HR onboarding, drug test and background check, health physical and TB test.
• Must be willing to obtain CDL bus driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in planning and developing the school's swim program.
• Administer the swim program and oversee practices and meets.
• Foster a positive learning climate for student-athletes.
• Communicate with parents, staff, and the broader school community.
• Develop coaching staff and coordinate with principal and athletic director.
• Ensure appropriate conduct during games and practices.
