Job summary

Pickerington Local School District is seeking a Varsity Head Softball Coach for Pickerington High School Central for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have coaching experience, CPR and medical training, and must obtain the required permits and certifications.

Applicants should be prepared to complete NFHS coaching coursework, concussion education, and maintain necessary certifications, while fostering effective communication with families and students from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

Experience as a participant/player and/or coach/advisor.
CPR training is required or willing to be completed.
NFHS coaching class is required or willing to complete.
Online Concussion Education class required.
Pupil Activity Permit issued by ODE required.
Current CPR certificate on file if CPR training has been completed.
First Aid certification required.
Current Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification required.
Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff of diverse populations.

Responsibilities

Coaches and mentors varsity softball players at Pickerington High School Central.
Ensures compliance with district and state guidelines for athletics and safety.
