Job summary

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and stay informed on new theories and procedures.
• The head coach must serve as a positive role model for student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Has a thorough knowledge of athletic policies and ensures their implementation by the staff.
• Maintains discipline and evaluates staff effectiveness.
• Assists athletic director in scheduling, transportation and tournament requirements.
• Instructs athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for success while promoting character development.
