Job summary

Jasper County School District is seeking an experienced sports coach to organize and supervise a comprehensive high school athletic program. You will work under the head coach and athletic director to ensure athletes learn fundamentals, team tactics, and physical training while upholding sportsmanship and character development.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• Assist the head coach to make sure everyone has knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent tothe field.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
• Promote socially acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in student athletes.
• Coordinate program with athletic director and principals; advise, coordinate and support staff of coaches.
