Pacifica Christian Orange County is seeking an Assistant Soccer Coach for the Varsity and lower-level programs. Join a faith-centered athletics program that emphasizes character, teamwork, and competitive excellence.

Responsibilities include assisting the Varsity Head Coach, running drills, overseeing practices, and supporting game-day operations. You will work with the athletic department to ensure compliance with CIF-SS rules, coordinate with staff, and contribute to a well-rounded program

Qualifications

• Coaching experience in HS or equivalent program.
• Solid understanding of the sport and coaching fundamentals.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Willing to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand long periods.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Willing to drive a passenger school van.
• Willing to comply with Pacifica/CIF-SS coaching standards.
• Able to communicate with the varsity team and athletic department.

Responsibilities

• Hold tryouts to determine Varsity, JV, and F/S teams.
• Coordinate with Varsity head coach on team selection.
• Pre-season meeting with Varsity Head Coach to discuss goals, expectations, logistics.
• Inventory all equipment for the program.
• Attend pre-season All Coaches Meeting.
• Provide instruction and training in fundamentals of the sport.
• Capable of coaching all phases of the sport.
• Plan and execute team practices with detailed practice plans.
• Supervise the team during practice, contests, travel, and related activities.
• Maintain facilities and equipment to standards.
• Promote sportsmanship, fair play, and a Christ-centered environment.
• Provide basic medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
• Understand and follow all rules and eligibility requirements.
• Report game scores to Athletic Director and media before 10pm.
• Complete administrative tasks from Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Department.
• Log team information in Maxpreps; use Hudl and related tech.
