Job summary

Pacifica Christian Athletic Department seeks an Assistant Coach to support the Varsity Head Coach in daily operations and program management for varsity and lower levels.

You will assist with instruction, practice planning, supervision, and administrative tasks, while promoting sportsmanship and a Christ-centered environment. This role requires coaching experience, fitness for long periods, and willingness to drive a school van.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience.
• Adequate knowledge and understanding of the sport.
• Must be CPR/First Aid Certified.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have a valid CA Driver's License.
• Must be willing to take and pass a background check.
• Must be willing to drive a passenger School Van.

Responsibilities

• Hold tryouts and determine varsity/JV/F/S teams.
• Communicate with Varsity head coach on team selection.
• Attend pre-season meetings with the Varsity Head Coach.
• Plan and execute team practices; carry practice plans.
• Supervise the team during practice, contests, and travel.
• Maintain facilities and equipment to appropriate standards.
• Provide basic medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
• Log on and keep up-to-date Maxpreps with team information.
