Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools’ Broad Run High School is seeking a head Lacrosse coach for the Spring season (February–May). The role focuses on developing student athletes academically and athletically, coordinating with the athletic department, and overseeing coaching staff.

Responsibilities include supervising coaches, ensuring insurance coverage, organizing schedules, evaluating players, and promoting sportsmanship and school pride.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level in the sport applied for.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or enrolled in current CPR/First Aid course.
• Preference for teachers or classified staff within Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Virginia Teaching License candidate or full-time classified employee preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring and/or retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate regularly the performance of all assistant coaches.
• Direct the training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team and supervise assistant coaches.
• Work with athletic director to ensure proper insurance coverage for athletes.
• Foster sportsmanship, pride in school, and teamwork among participants and spectators.
• Be present at varsity contests and supervise JV/ freshman contests when possible.
• Advise on schedules, officials, equipment, and facilities for the sports program.
• Maintain athlete eligibility lists and oversee medical examinations before practices.
