Job summary

Grand Blanc Community Schools is seeking a dedicated head varsity swim coach to lead the swim program for grades seven through twelve. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a good understanding of swim coaching strategies, and the ability to relate well to students and staff. This position requires a commitment to coaching excellence and participation in mandatory training programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of high school level swim coaching experience.
• Experience as a high school head varsity swim coach preferred.

• Previous high school assistant varsity swim coaching experience preferred.
• Organizational ability to coordinate a swim program in grades seven through twelve.
• Ability to work with and direct assistant coaches and related personnel.
• Consideration given to college-level swim experience.
• Ability to relate well to high school students, parents, staff, and the public.
• Previous high school varsity swim participation preferred.
• Minimum of two years of high school level swim coaching experience.
• Good understanding of swim coaching strategies and situations.
• Demonstrate mental/physical stamina and ability to meet the position's requirements.

Mandatory Program for New Varsity Coaches:

Sign up and complete the MHSAA Coaches Advancement Program (CAP 1 or CAP 2) within 6 months.

Mandatory Training:

• CPR/AED Certification
• Concussion Online Class

Salary:

Per DEA Master Agreement
