KIPP Public Schools Northern California in San Jose is seeking a Part-time Cheer Coach to lead high school cheer sessions and supervise practices. The role requires coaching experience, CA licensing, and a safe driving record.

You will work with a small team within the Athletic Department, promoting positive student development and athletic integrity. Responsibilities include planning tryouts, ensuring conduct guidelines, and coordinating with the Athletic Director on training and events.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of High School or Club Cheer coaching experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Valid CA license (Class C) and current insurance coverage.
• Safe driving record (will be asked to provide a DMV report).

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, and direct the particular and assigned team.
• Instruct and demonstrate skill sets for individual and team development.
• Ensure team rules and eligibility are clearly communicated and followed.
• Plan, organize, advertise, and conduct tryouts; inform participants and Athletic Department.
• Consult with Athletic Director on off-season training, summer camps, and schedules.
• Create a safe learning environment aligned with student development.
• Supervise athletes during practices and transport to games; arrange transportation if needed.
• Model good sportsmanship and maintain conduct toward opponents, fans, and staff.
