Job summary

West Hartford Public Schools seeks a Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach for the 2026-27 school year. The role reports to the head coach in conjunction with the athletic director and requires a valid CT coaching certification or temporary emergency permit.

The coach will help implement the sport program, instruct athletes in fundamental skills, and promote discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship while supporting athlete self-esteem and growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut coaching certification or temporary emergency coaching permit.
• Updated first aid/CPR training approved by Connecticut State Department of Education.
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in carrying out responsibilities.
• Assist in scheduling contests and practices and maintaining equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state and league regulations at all times.
• Maintain safety and sanitation of facilities and equipment.
