Position involves teaching basketball techniques, conditioning, supervising practices and travel, promoting sportsmanship, monitoring attendance and conduct, and coordinating equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a coaching license or a coaching application with results from the NMAA to apply for their coaching license and a complete application on file.

Responsibilities

• Teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies, and playing tactics.
• Conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength, and agility.
• Supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses.
• Teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic , and responsibility to one’s team.
• Monitoring athletes’ school attendance, grades, and personal conduct.
• Responding to player injuries with approved first aid techniques.
• Managing uniforms, equipment, and school facilities in a responsible manner.
• IfMajorsports course is offered- Active participation in offseason program development and implementation, including strength and conditioning, skill development, and team activities.
