Job summary

Mountainside High School in Wittmann, Arizona is seeking a Varsity Head Baseball Coach for a ~10-week season, including a conference tournament. The role is part-time in practice and games, with a stipend of $4,800 and responsibilities to plan practices, promote the program, and enforce school and league rules.

The coach will lead the middle school program foundation, stress Pursuing Victory with Honor, manage equipment, scheduling, transportation, and coordinate fundraisers as needed.

Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Be available for practices and games.
• Use effective teaching and coaching methods with knowledge of rules.
• Carry out assigned program and communicate effectively with diverse people.
• Work without constant supervision, make decisions and demonstrate good judgment.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor; be a positive role model.
• Support Pursuing Victory with Honor and ensure eligibility policies are followed.
• Care for and inventory equipment and uniforms; coordinate logistics as needed.
