Job summary

ReNEW Schools seeks a leader to oversee the Western Baseball Program at Western High School in Russiaville, IN. You will manage varsity and junior varsity teams, guide feeder programs, and coordinate staff and fundraising efforts to ensure a first-class program.

Develop a top-tier experience by mentoring coaches, engaging families, and planning out-of-season workouts in collaboration with other athletic teams and school functions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and mentor coaches across levels.
• Strong commitment to education-based athletics and character development.
• Ability to recruit student-athletes and engage families and community members.
• Experience building and sustaining feeder programs across middle and youth leagues.
• Ability to coordinate with school staff and athletic department on events and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Western Baseball Program, including Varsity and JV teams.
• Manage feeder programs—Middle School and Youth Leagues.
• Help select and vet coaches; instruct lower levels on fundamentals and scheme.
• Fundraise for needs beyond what the athletic department provides.
• Communicate expectations to players and parents; schedule events; highlight the program.

Oversee all aspects of the Western Baseball Program, including but not limited to:

• Varsity and Junior Varsity Baseball Team


• Feeder Programs-Middle School and Youth Leagues

Staff Formation:

• Help select and vet coaches for all levels of Western Baseball


• Instruct coaches at lower levels on proper fundamentals and scheme

Fundraising:

• Fundraise for needs above what the athletic department is able to provide

Communication:

• Communicate expectations to players and parents


• Communicate schedules and events with players and parents


• Highlight the Western Baseball Program and its athletes

Lead Players and Coaches:

• Model appropriate behavior


• Serve as a role model for your athletes and the student body


• Dugout decorum will reflect a first-class program


• Support multi-sport athletes and work with all athletic coaches


• Develop a program that the Western School Community will be proud of, on and off the field


• Work with other coaches to develop a top tier strength and conditioning program


• Plan and implement out of season workouts while working with other coaches and athletic teams
