Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and develop program staff in collaboration with the Athletic Department.
• Develop and implement daily practices.
• Scout upcoming opponents and implement game plan.
• Foster athletes' faith and Christian character.
• Help athletes develop their God-given abilities to the fullest.
• Be a positive role model for all student‑athletes.
• Film breakdown and game analysis.
• Manage program budget.
• Know, understand and educate coaching staff on GIAA rules and regulations.
• Complete administrative elements necessary for advancement of the program.
• Partner with parents.
• Assist athletes and families in college recruiting when applicable.
• Advise athletes on the proper use of baseball equipment.
• Champion Westminster culture and the Wildcat Way.
• Be a contributing member of the Westminster community.
• Attend Westminster functions as communicated by the Athletic Department

Job description

Westminster Schools of Augusta is a Pre-K through 12 regionally accredited, coeducational, college-preparatory, Christian day school enrolling close to 650 students. The 34-acre campus is in a residential section of Augusta, which is Georgia’s second largest metropolitan area. The school is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church of Augusta (PCA), but the student body and faculty include members from more than 90 different local churches of various denominations.

The Varsity Baseball Assistant Coaching position in the Athletic Department at Westminster exists to coach Westminster students who choose to participate in the baseball program. This position is for the 2027 Baseball Season and will be a paid position that could be combined with one of our current teaching or administration positions depending on the candidate's experience and giftings. If a teaching position is unavailable or the applicant is employed outside of the education field, we will consider a community coach.
