Job summary

Liberty Educational Ministries, Incorporated - Argyle, TX 76226 is seeking an Upper School Assistant Coach for a seasonal role. The position supports the Varsity Head Coach in all aspects of the assigned sport in the Upper School, reporting to the Varsity Head Coach.

The role emphasizes developing fundamentals, leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, and moral values while supervising practices, games, and facilities. CPR certification and a Christian role model are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.
• Preferred coaching experience in assigned sport.
• CPR certified.
• Serve as a Christian role model.

Responsibilities

• Instructs athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
• Provides instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, strong work ethic, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, leadership, and self-confidence.
• Increase morale and cooperation within the school athletic program as well as the school community.
• Supervise all practices, games, team trips, locker rooms, and athletic facilities.
• Updates knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport and willingness to continue to learn and examine latest ideas pertinent to the assigned sport or coaching in general.
• Coordinates with the Varsity Head Coach in uniform and equipment maintenance as well as inventory.
• Adheres to policies within the athletic department and school to address issues or concerns.
• Updates the Varsity Head Coach frequently during the season about any issues, concerns, and/or highlights.
• Develop a weekly communication plan for parents and faculty.
• Adheres to the Student Protection Policy (SPP) procedures and training.
