Job summary

Recruiting LM, Inc. is seeking a Variant Curator to review and classify genetic variants, analyze raw genomic data, and support ClinVar submissions. You will refine variant classification methodologies, including AI-driven approaches, to improve clinical insight for customers.

You will work remotely with our client platform, collaborating with teams, using Python or R, JIRA, Confluence, and maintain meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with variant classification and genomic databases (ClinVar, gnomAD, HGMD).
• Familiarity with NGS data analysis and raw genetic data interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in clinical variant interpretation or curation.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with bug tracking and Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Review variant reports for inconsistencies in variant calling and data interpretation.
• Investigate and classify variants associated with conditions not yet submitted to ClinVar.
• Enhance ClinVar data by associating unclassified variants with known conditions.
• Analyze raw genetic data files to support customer inquiries and troubleshooting.

The Variant Curator reviews and classifies genetic variants to ensure accurate interpretation for customers, analyzes raw genomic data to support inquiries and troubleshooting, and refines variant classification methodologies including AI-driven approaches. The role supports ClinVar submissions and enhances database associations to improve variant annotation and clinical insight.

What we’re looking for
