JOB SUMMARY:

Pilates Reformer Instructors teach at Carmody Recreation Center for the City of Lakewood. This position is directly supervised by the Fitness Specialist and Fitness and Wellness Programs Administrator, and will assist in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to:

1. Instruct Pilates Reformer classes to community members.
2. Educate participants on proper and safe exercise form.
3. Enforce policies and procedures in group fitness activity areas. Execute risk management plan.
4. Maintain Pilates Reformer and CPR/First Aid certifications.

Job Requirements

1. Pilates Reformer—nationally recognized certification
2. AHA or American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification

Supervision Received:
Receives general supervision from Fitness and Wellness Programs Administrator and the Fitness Specialist.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Experience:
• Experience and willingness to work with a wide array of populations and/or conditions.
• Minimum of 6 months teaching experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current CPR and First Aid certification.

- Maintain personal and professional health to act as a role model for patrons and coworkers

Pay Range
