Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC in Carson City, NV is seeking a skilled Vane Post Machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment for repairing critical aircraft engine components in an FAA-regulated environment. You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and ensure precision through meticulous setup and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment for vane component repair and manufacturing.
• Machine and repair aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and drawings.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Change tooling and adjust machine feeds and speeds; complete inspections and production documentation.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and safety checks.
• Safely operate overhead cranes as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

We're looking for a skilled Vane Post Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you'll set up and operate CNC equipment to machine and repair critical aircraft engine components in an FAA-regulated environment. This is precision work where quality, attention to detail, and following established processes matter.

Shift: Primarily Monday-Friday (schedule flexibility required; days and hours may vary based on business needs, including weekends) |10:30 PM-7:00 AM
Shift Differential: $2-$4/hour based on assigned workdays
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment used in vane component repair and manufacturing
• Machine and repair precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, pi tapes, and other precision measuring tools
• Change tooling and adjust machine feeds and speeds as neededComplete required inspection and production documentation
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Safely operate overhead cranes as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
