Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. PhD in Economics or related discipline and currently holdingthe rank of Associate Professor or Professor or an equivalent rankfrom a non-U.S. university. A candidate who is an AssociateProfessor (or equivalent) must possess a record of scholarlyachievement that qualifies her/him for appointment at the rank ofProfessor at the time of hire.
2. Research accomplishments exemplified by a sustained record ofinfluential scholarship, including numerous high-qualitypublications and evidence of national or international recognitionin Development Economics, International Economics, or MonetaryEconomics.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstratedeffective supervision of doctoral candidates in Economics and whohave served on journal editorial boards (especially as editors orco-editors).
2. Preference will also be given to candidates whose applicationmaterials include assessments from distinguished scholars who areable to provide an independent evaluation of the candidate'sscholarly contributions and professional standing.
