Qualifications

Job description

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Onsite Services, working closely with Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 personnel to perform customized lab work and research protocols that support scientific progress.

Location & Shift:

Based in Watertown, MA, with driving range including Cambridge, MA & Bradford, CT. Shift: Mon - Fri, days.

Wage & Benefits:

Wage: approximately $29 per hour.

Qualifications:
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years in material handling, inventory, or customer service.
  • Spill containment, IATA, DOT, OSHA training a plus.
  • Experience in cross referencing, inside sales, scientific products beneficial.
  • Conformance to background checks, safety, security requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Experience in shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
  • Excellent customer service, safety awareness, self-motivation, ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
  • Transport materials, perform van inspections, loading/unloading.
  • Manage inventory, perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and reporting.
  • Customer service functions related to inventory and order management.
  • Coordinate shipping, handle hazardous materials, and prepare documentation.
  • Interface with customers and internal contacts.
  • Manage various types of inventory and utilize multiple computer systems.
  • Meet safety, performance, and quality goals.
  • Support process improvements, document change management, perform other duties as assigned.
