Schedule: Monday - Friday, Split Shift of 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Pay: $14.00

Education level: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Summary

Ensures the safety of all children riding the bus and completes required documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide safe transportation
  • Complete pre‑trip inspections prior to each route
  • Check buses at end of morning/afternoon routes to ensure no child remains on bus
  • Assist with taking children to their classrooms
  • Turn in all documentation daily, including transportation log, pre‑trip inspections, and transportation roster
  • Maintain bus binder that includes required documentation: seating chart, up to date client information, emergency procedures, and vehicle accident procedures/forms
  • Ensure up to date client information is on the bus binder when transporting clients, including client face sheets listing authorized person(s) to take a child from the bus, parent consent for medication administration and emergency treatment form, printed maps to every client’s home
  • Turn in gas receipts at the end of each month
  • Complete and turn in monthly inspections on assigned vehicles, if appropriate, on the last working day of the month
  • Immediately report all transportation related incidents to supervisor
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner
  • Submit work orders on vehicle maintenance requests and other problems
  • Complete minor vehicle maintenance tasks
  • Assist in scheduling/delivering/picking up vehicles at shop
  • Follow FCC and FPS policies and procedures
  • Maintain current and valid AR driver’s license and ensure the HR Department has a copy for their files (a CDL may be required for this position)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This is a safety sensitive position

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Follow the Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training
  • Maintain consumer progress notes daily or as needed on prescribed forms
  • Maintain consumer records weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. All information must be filed and updated as prescribed by funding sources

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; preferably with one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both education and experience
  • A valid driver’s license is required and a clean background check. A CDL may be required based on position
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
