Job summary

Ridwell in Atlanta, GA is seeking a part-time driver/warehouse operator to support our growing field operations. The role blends driving duties with warehouse tasks, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced sustainability company.

Typical hours are Tue, Wed and Thu from 7:30 am to 4 pm, with additional shifts as needed. Compensation starts at $20 per hour, with opportunities for growth as Ridwell expands its local operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid GA driver's license.
• Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Ability to read and follow written or oral instructions in English.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 49 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Ridwell high-roof cargo vans throughout the Atlanta area.
• Complete between 125 - 150 daily stops efficiently and accurately.
• Collect members' materials from designated bins at their homes.
• Navigate routes effectively using the provided smartphone apps.
• Maintain regular communication with our Driver Support team regarding route timing.
• Manage loading and unloading of vehicles.

Job Duties

• Safely operate Ridwell high-roof cargo vans throughout the Austin area
• Complete between 125 - 150 daily stops efficiently and accurately
• Collect members' materials from designated bins at their homes
• Assist with completing remaining stops after finishing your assigned route
• Navigate routes effectively using the provided smartphone apps
• Maintain regular communication with our dedicated Driver Support team regarding route timing
• Manage loading and unloading of vehicles efficiently
• Deliver Ridwell bins and new member kits to members' homes
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with Ridwell members
• Work safely outdoors and in all weather conditions, various temperature extremes, including heat, cold, moisture, and wind
• Transition between driving and warehouse responsibilities as needed
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures consistently
• Support additional operational needs as they arise
• Maintain positive communication with team members across all functions
• A smartphone is required for GPS navigation and route management (phone stipend provided).

Job Requirements

• Ability to maintain consistent attendance - we count on each other to be here when scheduled so we can deliver excellent service as a team
• Must be 21 years or older with a valid GA driver's license
• Must have had a valid driver's license for at least 3 years
• Ability to read and follow written or oral instructions in English
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, and lift up to 49 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must own and be able to use a smartphone and Google or Apple maps
• Ability to communicate effectively digitally via text and email
• Must pass a background and motor vehicle history check if offered the position

$20 - $20 an hour
