DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on providing safe and courteous transportation to senior adults and individuals who use wheelchairs. You will support their comfort, dignity, and independence throughout each trip. As a Part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:

• Safe Transport: Drive consumers safely over daily routes while following all policies and procedures
• Passenger Support: Assist individuals with boarding, exiting, and moving across uneven or unpaved pathways
• Clear Communication: Maintain steady communication with consumers, dispatch, and staff through direct conversation and radio use
• Technology Use: Operate tablets and approved devices to access schedules and record transportation details
• Professional Conduct: Show patience, professionalism, and reliability while working independently

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Part-time employment (14 to 21+ hours per week)
• Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Condition of Employment:

• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
