Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a courteous driver to transport residents to medical appointments and outings, ensuring safety and comfort throughout travel. The role requires a valid driver’s license and CPR certification, with prior long‑term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, performing safety checks, and handling deliveries and pickups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Previous experience as a courtesy driver preferred.

• Completes a safety checklist and ensures vehicle readiness before operation.
• Assists residents to enter and exit the vehicle.
• Makes deliveries, pickups of supplies and equipment; loads/unloads vehicle.
• Tests and arranges vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with the company Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.

Performs driving duties in support of the facility and residents.

Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each

state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.

Essential Functions

• Safely transports residents to doctors' appointments and organized outings.
• Reports significant changes in resident’s condition or poor tolerance for travel.
• Completes a safety checklist and takes corrective action prior to operating facility vehicles
• Assists residents to enter and exit the vehicle.
• Makes deliveries, picks up supplies and equipment and load and unloads vehicle.
• Takes vehicle for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Skilled at operating a motor vehicle safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to be patient and polite.
• Knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance procedures.

Requirements
